How do I know if I need Contex Specialty or Toric lenses?
If you have been diagnosed with Keratoconus, the AS-20H lens may be one of the few lenses available that can correct your vision. If you have Keratoconus, you will most likely benefit from the Contex Specialty or Toric lens. Only your eyecare professional can determine if you will benefit from the Contex Specialty or Toric lens.

Are Contex Specialty or Toric lenses comfortable to wear?
Advances in contact lens manufacturing allow the Contex Specialty or Toric lens to be almost as comfortable as a soft lens. Actually over time they are healthier for your eyes. If you have Keratoconus they may be the most comfortable lenses available for you. They also won’t give you that dried oute feeling towards the end of the day that many soft lenses can.

Can I wear Contex Specialty or Toric lenses while playing sports?
If you have been diagnosed with Keratoconus, only your eyecare professional can determine if you shoulkd wear your lenses during sports.

Will Contex Specialty or Toric lenses slow or control my astigmatism?
No. Specialty or Toric lenses only correct vision. They are not intended to eliminate or reduce astigmatism.

Can I wear Contex Specialty or Toric lenses if I have astigmatism?
Yes. If you have a high amount of corneal astigmatism or an undesired amount of residual astigmatism, then Contex Specialty or Toric lenses will correct your vision. Your eyecare professional will determine the exact type of lens that is needed.

Are Contex Specialty or Toric lenses hard to clean?
Contex Specialty or Toric lenses only require daily cleaning and disinfecting, which is done at night while the lenses are not being worn.

How much do Contex Specialty or Toric lenses cost?
The cost of lenses can vary greatly from practitioner to practitioner. Some eyecare professionals charge for lenses and office visits and some charge one fee for the entire fitting which usually includes the lenses and all office visits.

Can I sleep in Contex Specialty or Toric lenses?
If you have been diagnosed with any abnormal condition then you should never sleep in your lenses, unless prescribed by your eyecare professional.

How do I know if my Eyecare professional prescribed Contex lenses?
You must insist on Contex Specialty or Toric lenses if you want the best. If your eye care professional does not use Contex lenses we can assist them with the fitting if necessary.
